What is Escrow and How Does it Work?

Escrow serves as an impartial third-party process in which documents and funds are deposited by buyers, sellers and lenders to facilitate the closing for a real estate transaction. They are required to follow mutual written instructions from all parties. They then coordinate with these parties to obtain required signatures as well as working closely with the title officer to clear liens and encumbrances against the property, and record the documents with the county.

Our team of paralegals have over 75 years of combined experience closing commercial and residential real estate sales, short sales, and refinances. As a law firm, every escrow file is reviewed by a licensed attorney to ensure an accurate and efficient closing free of any unwanted surprises.
